SEN (SPECIAL EDUCATION NEED) STUDENTS SCRIPT

Warm up
Greeting, saling „hello”. The teacher asks : Do you have Animals?
What do you know about them?
The teacher displays on the board photographs of animals known from lesson 17 and asks Ss about their names

Presentation
1. Using flashcards based on pictures from the book the teacher asks about animals presented there. Flashcards from the book have been transformed and adapted to SEN students. They have been grouped according to their grammar form, extended in seize. Grammar issue has been highlighted.
2.  Presentation of the can/can’t  structure by miming and showing pictures
3.  Presentation of new vocabulary by using it in a context. The teacher pays attention to the word’s stresses in polysyllabic words. The teacher changes exercise given according to their grammatical function considering SEN Ss.


Practice
1  The teacher carries out an animal quiz according to the pictures from page 60 in the book and the recording. Ss have to cover the bottom information to guess and say : true/false. The teacher corrects the answers.
2.  The teacher exercises new vocabulary by repetition of the words chorally. The word are sequenced and grouped according to SEN Ss needs
3.  The teacher transforms exercise nr 2 so that words which should be chosen are underlined and bolded  according to SEN Ss
4.  The teacher eliminates listening exercise as to complex for SEN Ss .


Production
1.The teacher asks Ss to describe their pets or favourite animals. Shy Ss are encouraged  by teacher to participate by asking questions: Is it big? Can it fly? Has it got four legs? Has it got five stomachs?
2. The teacher asks Ss to do exercise of the kind, multiple choice, which is constructed regarding SEN Ss
3. Every Ss is assigned a homework which requires description and drawing their favourite animal on a separate paper. SEN  Ss are allowed to skip writing but they are required to gather as much as possible knowledge about the animal and present it orally. If SEN Ss prefer to write on the laptop they are allowed to do it. Image of the animal can be drawn or copied from internet or other preferable sources.
4. The teacher says : good bye and wishes success in doing homework.
